artist-in-residence
In Seyðisfjörður, Iceland, I conducted fieldwork to explore Tvísöngur (2012), a site-specific sound sculpture conceived by sculptor Lukas Kühne. I was hosted as an artist-in-residence by the Skaftfell Visual Art Centre, founded in 1998 by a collective of artists whose central figure was Swiss artist Dieter Roth.
The aims were to investigate the interplay of voice with sculpture and their acoustic relationship, and explore the inside of the sound sculpture Tvísöngur using the human voice as a tool of perception.
